THE AUTHOR

Thierry DER-PARSEGHIAN is a French author and novelist born in Marseille. He caught the writing bug at an early age watching his grandfather, a journalist-writer, spend entire days typing newspaper articles and collections of poetry on his mechanical Underwood typewriter. The characteristic music of the character bars striking the black and red ink ribbon fascinates him. It’s decided, he will devote part of his life to writing. From then on, all the excuses are good to scribble bits of history on spiral notebooks that he carefully hides in the false bottom of his desk. In middle school, her French teacher is amazed by the length of her essays and the time taken to correct them! When he was 15, his father gave him his first electric typewriter. Serious things begin. He spends his days writing and writing again: poems, songs and first short stories.

At the age of 20, he caught a second virus, that of the cinema and keeps an indelible and magical memory of his first meeting at the end of the 80s with the famous director Henri VERNEUIL during a meal organized in his honor within a charitable association. The filmmaker with 92 million admissions at the worldwide box office will spend the entire evening explaining his shooting secrets to guests by scribbling storyboard sketches on the tablecloth.

Thierry DER-PARSEGHIAN has been pursuing since 2009 a career in higher education, occupying in turn the positions of professor, head of studies, educational director and school director. He also teaches business strategy, marketing and sales management in a business school.

He publishes school books intended for higher education, but also, out of pure passion for gastronomy, cookbooks!
